Beyond Faith: The Supreme Leader Honours a Christian Martyr
Ayatollah Khamenei Honours the Legacy of a Christian Martyr
Visit to a Christian Martyr’s Family: A Moment of Honour
In this heart-warming video, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, pays an intimate visit to the family of an Iranian Christian martyr. The visit highlights the shared sacrifices of all Iranians, regardless of their faith, during the Iran-Iraq war (Sacred Defense).
During the conversation, Ayatollah Khamenei speaks with the martyr’s mother and sister in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. He inquires about the martyr, learning that he was just 22 years old when he sacrificed his life for his country in the year 1367 (1988). The Leader expresses his deep respect, praying that God rewards the family for their suffering and that the martyr is resurrected with Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him).
The dialogue also touches on the family’s current life. The martyr’s sister mentions she is a student of Social Sciences at Allameh Tabataba’i University, to which the Leader listens attentively. He also praises the mother, emphasising that the work of a housewife—managing the home and raising such children—is often harder and more critical than work done outside the home. The visit is filled with mutual respect, with the family expressing their joy at hosting the Leader.
