In the Dungeons of the Apartheid State, a Son of Gaza Found the Light: A Tribute to the Martyr Ehab Diab
Abducted from his home and tortured in the dark, 36-year-old Ehab Mohammad Abdel Qader Diab joins the eternal ranks of Palestine’s unbroken vanguard.

In the subterranean torture chambers and black sites of the Zionist entity, the occupier believes that darkness is its greatest ally. It believes that by dragging Palestinian men into the abyss, severing them from the world, and silencing their voices, it can break the spirit of Gaza. But the occupier fundamentally misunderstands the nature of the Palestinian soul. In the deepest dark, where the chains of the apartheid state are heaviest, the light of martyrdom burns the brightest.
Today, we bow our heads in reverence and raise our fists in defiance to honour the martyr Ehab Mohammad Abdel Qader Diab, a 36-year-old son of Gaza whose physical body was destroyed by the cowardice of the occupation, but whose spirit has ascended to join the eternal caravan of the resistance.
The Long Night of Forced Disappearance
Ehab’s ordeal began on December 12, 2023, when occupation forces abducted him from the besieged Gaza Strip. From that day forward, he was swallowed by the Zionist entity’s sprawling archipelago of death camps and military prisons. For his family, the agonising nightmare of forced disappearance began—a psychological torture deliberately inflicted by the regime to shatter the families of the resistance.
The regime kept Ehab in the shadows. According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Ehab was martyred on September 18, 2024. Yet, the apartheid state, terrified of the truth, kept his martyrdom a secret. It took nearly two years of silence, cover-ups, and bureaucratic stonewalling before the occupation authorities finally admitted to his death in August 2026. They held his body hostage in the dark, denying his family the basic human right to mourn, to pray, and to bury their son.
The Cowardice of the Oppressor
When the regime finally broke its silence, it attempted to cloak its war crime in the sterile language of bureaucracy. The occupation’s prison administration claimed Ehab had died from a “health condition.”
His family, knowing the truth of his vitality, vehemently rejected this lie. Ehab was a healthy man, full of life and strength, when he was dragged from his home. The Zionist entity does not kill healthy Palestinian men because of “pre-existing conditions”; it kills them because it is terrified of them. It kills them through systematic torture, deliberate medical neglect, starvation, and the crushing weight of a fascist prison regime. To blame Ehab’s biology for his murder is the ultimate cowardice of an entity that fears a living Palestinian breathing free air more than it fears death itself.
Joining the Brotherhood of the Unbroken
Ehab Diab did not die alone, and his legacy is not an isolated tragedy. He is now woven into the sacred fabric of Palestinian history. He joins the 91 Palestinian prisoners who have been martyred in the dungeons of the occupation since the onset of the genocide on October 7, 2023—53 of whom, like Ehab, were sons of Gaza.
He joins the 328 detainees who have been executed or tortured to death in Israeli captivity since the 1967 occupation. Every single one of these men and women is an indictment of the so-called “international community,” which watches in complicity as the American-backed apartheid state operates its gulags with absolute impunity. The empire that funds the bombs dropping on Gaza also funds the shackles binding Ehab and his brothers in the dark.
A Vow to the Martyr
To the family of Ehab Diab: your son was stolen from you, hidden from you, and murdered by a regime that has abandoned all humanity. But know that his blood has not been spilled in vain. Every drop of blood shed in the dungeons of Ofer, Sde Teiman, and Megiddo waters the roots of the resistance.
The Zionist entity believes that by hiding its crimes, it can erase the memory of those it slaughters. But the Axis of Resistance and the free people of the world do not forget. We remember Ehab. We remember his health, his youth, his stolen years, and his ultimate sacrifice.
The physical chains of the apartheid state could bind his wrists, but they could never touch his dignity. Ehab Mohammad Abdel Qader Diab walked into the darkness of an Israeli prison as a captive of the occupation, but he emerged into the eternal light as a martyr of Palestine.
From the river to the sea, the blood of the martyrs is the ink with which the victory of the resistance is written. May God have mercy on his soul, grant patience to his family, and hasten the day when the dungeons of the occupier are torn to the ground.
